I live and work in Tiohtia:ke, also known as Montreal, in the unceded territory of the Kanien’keha:ka Nation in Quebec.
When I am not teaching, reading, or writing, I like to pluck my banjo, watch 70s horror movies, ride my bicycle, and play Warhammer 40k. I also play bass for a spooky post-punk/shoegaze band called Fever Visions.

Dissertation Research
My doctoral dissertation concerned emerging scholarship in critical phenomenology and social reproduction theory (SRT). I identified two "schools" of SRT thought: one centered on gender as a social technology of time, and the other on the historical development of bodily modes of (re)production.
I addressed tensions and ambiguities between these two schools with critical phenomenology, and posited a concept I name the domestic hold: a critical phenomenological interpretation of the gendered division of labour. I argued that social reproduction is best thought of as the totality of ways in which subjects give, make, and take time together.
In doing so, I showed how a) the conceptual tensions and ambiguities between these schools may be addressed through engagement with critical phenomenology, and b) critical phenomenology may gain a robust and non-reductive account of class via the Marxist feminist tradition.
Critical Phenomenology Reading Group
I co-organize the CPRG with my colleague and comrade at Queen's, Alisha Sharma.
In Summer 2025, I successfully defended my doctoral thesis, "A Critical Phenomenology of Social Reproduction," in the Philosophy Ph.D. program at Queen's University under the supervision of Prof. Lisa Guenther.

Since 2017, I have worked as a part-time instructor at institutions including Brandon University (Brandon, MB) and Bishop's University (Sherbrooke, QC) teaching courses in Philosophy, English Literature, and academic writing.
I received my M.A. in Philosophy at Concordia University in Spring 2015, where I completed my Major Research Paper on deconstruction, différance, and Paul Ricoeur's concept of narrative identity with Prof. Matthias Fritsch.
Prior to my graduate studies, I double majored in Philosophy and English Literature, with a minor in History, at Brandon University in Brandon, MB.
